Itinerary Day 1 | Fly to Mumbai

(B, L, D) Day 11 | Transfer to Agra and visit the Mehtab Bagh Drive to Agra (6hrs). Spend one night at the 5-star Trident Agra. Enjoy an evening visit to the Mehtab Bagh and the Agra Fort. Enjoy a rooftop drink, with sunset views of the Taj Mahal. Dinner at your hotel. (B, D) Day 12 | Experience a sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal Begin the day with a sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal. Return to your hotel for breakfast, then visit the ‘Baby Taj’. Drive (5hrs) to Delhi and spend two-nights at the 5-star Taj Mahal Hotel. (B) Day 13 | Explore the landmarks of Delhi Visit the Raj Ghat memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, the 17th- century Jama Masjid, the Qutab Minar and India Gate. See the Red Fort, parliament building and Viceroy’s House. (B) Day 14 | Train to Amritsar and enjoy a Palki ceremony Leave on the morning Shatabdi train to Amritsar (7hrs). Enjoy an evening event of local culture with a Palki ceremony at the Golden Temple. Two nights at 5-star Taj Swarna. (B) Day 15 | Visit the Golden Temple and enjoy a Changing of the Guard ceremony Visit the Golden Temple in the holiest city of the Sikh religion. Continue to visit the ‘world’s largest’ community kitchen and the garden memorial for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Drive to the Indo-Pakistan ‘Attari Border’ village and see the Changing of the Guard ceremony. (Due to FCO advice we currently can no longer visit the Attari / Wagah Border Ceremony. We are monitoring the situation.) (B) Day 16 | Transfer to Shimla Travel by road (8hrs) into the Himalayan foothills to Shimla. Visit the Viceregal Lodge (Rashtrapati Niwas) and continue to Christ Church, with fabulous views from its surrounds. Afternoon at leisure in Shimla. (B) Day 18 | Take the famous Toy Train to Kalka and switch trains for Delhi Two nights at the 5-star Oberoi Cecil. (B) Day 17 | Enjoy the highlights of Shimla Board the Toy Train for its scenic journey (5hrs), crossing bridges and cutting through countless tunnels on its route to Kalka, where we switch to the Shatabdi train for Delhi (4hrs), with a light dinner aboard. Overnight at the 5-star Taj Palace Hotel. (B, L, D) Day 19 | Fly home from Delhi Transfer to Delhi airport for your return flight. Day 3 | Enjoy a city tour before flying to Udaipur Tour Marine Drive promenade, curving around the natural bay to the British-built Gateway of India at its southern tip; Victoria Terminus railway station; the Dhobi Ghat and the Dabbawalla. Fly to Udaipur for two nights at the Hotel Taj Fateh Prakash Palace. (B) Day 4 | Explore Udaipur and enjoy a lake view dinner Visit the City Palace, then sail on the lake to Jagmandir Island where a golden sandstone palace rises from the water’s edge. Visit the al-fresco Ambrai restaurant to enjoy a drink and Travel to the Rohet (6hrs) stopping en route to visit the Ranakpur temples, famous for the beautiful carved idol of Parshvanatha. Continue to the hotel Rohet Garh for two nights. Spend the rest of the day at leisure and enjoy dinner at the hotel. (B, D) Day 6 | The Blue City of Jodhpur and Mehrangarh Fort Visit Jodhpur and explore the 15th-century Mehrangarh. Continue to the white marble Jaswant Thada monument. Return to your hotel for dinner and an evening at leisure. (B, D) Day 7 | Travel to the shimmering Pink City Travel (7hrs) to the Pink City of Jaipur. On arrival at the 5-star Taj Amer enjoy dinner and a chance to relax. (B, D) Day 8 | Enjoy Jaipur and dinner at Rambagh Palace Optional balloon ride early this morning (bookable locally). dinner with a view of the lake. (B, D) Day 9 | Visit the Amber Fort and travel to Ranthambore Drive to the Amber Fort then travel to Ranthambore National Park (4hrs). This renowned reserve is home to tigers and leopards, wild boar, sloth bears and birds. Check in to the 5-star Taj Sawai and enjoy a drink as you listen to a 'Tiger Talk' by a local naturalist.
